RC Sevilla Golf returns to shine with the San Miguel Andalucía Golf Challenge

The Real Club Sevilla Golf, venue of international championships such as the World Cup 2004, the Andalusia Open 2009 and the Spanish Open in 2008, 2010 and 2012, has once again shone with its exceptional course in a new round of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia’ Circuit, which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition.

The great interest aroused by José María Olazábal ‘s magnificent design was evidenced by the fact that the sold-out sign had to be hung well in advance, with 160 players taking part in the tournament. The condition of the fairways, impossible to improve, and the impeccable and very fast greens were the delight of the participants in this fourth round of the Tour.

Due to the fact that that same day the Noche del Pescaíto, an event that marks the beginning of the Seville Fair, was being held, there was no prize-giving ceremony. For the same reason, a virtual raffle of gifts was held, gifts that were displayed with the names of the winners at the beach bar on the 10th tee. In this place a great refreshment was served, prepared by the club’s catering and accompanied by several specialties of San Miguel beers, which were also enjoyed by the players at the 14th hole and at the end of the course.

Next to the entrance of the clubhouse and on the field there was an exhibition of Hyundai cars from the Hyundauto dealership.

The organization of the Tour highlights the collaboration given to the tournament by the whole team of the golf club directed by Gonzalo Goy, with special mention to Agustín from the caddie master and Fernando helping on the course.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit runs through all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.

The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on September 28 at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.

The next meeting of the Circuit will be on Saturday 27 April 27th at La Garza.
