
Roberto Rivas has been proclaimed Scratch Champion of the Puntuable Andaluz Men’s Championship held at the Club de Campo de Córdoba, where he finished with a total score of 159 strokes (+15).
The Benalmádena Golf player finished the first day with a total of 84 strokes. During the second day, he climbed positions thanks to a round of 75 strokes, which was enough to get the first place.
Behind him was the player from Guadalhorce Álvaro Fernández who, with a total of 162 strokes, defended the second position he had already achieved yesterday. For his part, the player of the Club de Campo de Córdoba, Luis Valdelomar, has been proclaimed Mid Amateur Scratch Champion with two rounds of 84 and 80 strokes.
Turning to the handicap classification, Juan de Dios Benítez (Club de Campo de Córdoba) has maintained the first position he already achieved during the first day. After the 72 strokes that he signed yesterday, today he has delivered a card of 74, for a total of 146 net strokes. The player of the Club de Campo de Córdoba has also been proclaimed Mid Amateur Handicap Winner.
In second place in the handicap classification was the player from Hato Verde, José Manuel Ortiz, with a total of 151 strokes.
The awards ceremony was attended by Milagros Luque, Provincial Delegate of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation in Cordoba; Rafael Garcia, President of the Competition Committee of the Club de Campo de Cordoba; Ignacio Sanchez, Director of the Club de Campo de Cordoba; and Diego Molina, Chief Referee of the tournament.
The event was played over 36 holes under Stroke Play, in two consecutive days of 18 holes each.
