Carlos Rodiles plays today the last day of the second phase of the European Tour School and is registered to play from Tuesday the third tournament of the Gecko Tour, which will take place from November 10 to 12 at the Santa Clara and Marbella Golf Country Club courses.
The champion of the circuit two years ago could not play the first two rounds of the Gecko because he was training hard to prepare, precisely, the semifinal of the School.
However, he does not want to let more time pass to start competing and fight one more year for the order of merit. So, after four rounds of competition of maximum tension, the player from Malaga will face three more days of tournament on the Costa del Sol. Seven out of seven. That is love for the competition and for golf.Rodiles is one of the protagonists of this third Gecko tournament, although not the only one.
Also in Santa Clara Golf Marbella and Marbella Golf Country Club will be Alfonso Gutiérrez, winner last week in the tournament held in El Parador and Guadalhorce, Marcos Pastor, Manuel Quirós, William Nygard, Brayden Eriksen or James Briggs, in a new demonstration of the spectacular international character of the best winter circuit in Europe.
More than seventy players will compete over three days with a special prize this week, as twice as many points will be distributed for the order of merit than in any other regular tournament. The first two days will be held at Santa Clara Golf Marbella and Marbella Golf Country Club and the third, after a cut with the top twenty players and tied, will take place only at Santa Clara. We are facing a special date for the Gecko, as the tournament will visit the offices of the circuit, located in the Marbella Golf Country Club course.
