San Roque Golf & Resort makes its debut at the San Miguel Andalucía Golf Challenge by Globalia

The San Roque Golf & Resort course has made a successful debut in the XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia’ Circuit..

San Roque Golf & Resort has recently reopened, just a month ago, after being associated for years with its neighboring course.A great design by Perry Dye, with the collaboration of golf legend Severiano Ballesteros, thecourse is in the process of renovation and updating after that hiatus. This attractive, technical and not without difficulties course located in an estate without houses, was the scene of the 2016 Spanish Open and several finals of the European Tour Qualifying School.

The day began very cloudy and even with a low temperature for this time of the year, but as the morning progressed the sun appeared and it was a perfect day. However, it was seasoned with important gusts of wind that complicated the game.

The awards ceremony was attended by the director of the course, Ricardo Andrades, and Gabriela Jones, from the golf boutique Fairway + Blue in Puerto Banús, a collaborating firm of the Circuit.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit runs through all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.

The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on September 28 at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.

The next appointment of the Circuit will be on Saturday, July 13 at the Parador de Málaga Golf.

The Grand Final of the Circuit will decide the winners of the 5 one-week trips with flights, all-inclusive accommodations at the 5-star hotel Sunscape Dominicus La Romana and golf at the spectacular Teeth of the Dog, Punta Espada, DyeFore y PGA Ocean’s 4. The Grand Final will be held on September 28th and will be followed by a Gala Dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús*****.
