
Santa Clara Golf Marbella was the splendid setting for the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit Destination Dominican Republic Ocean’s 4 Bahía Príncipe, which played its fifth event of the year in this great course located just five kilometers from the urban center of the cosmopolitan city of Marbella. The magnificent layout designed by Enrique Canales presented an excellent appearance and maintenance, and a benign weather accompanied the players throughout the day, developed in a pleasant sporting atmosphere.
Participants in this new event of the Andalucía Golf Challenge, which once again sold out all available places in advance and once again brought together many regular players of the Tour, were served refreshments halfway through the course.
This open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf/España Golf celebrates its tenth edition this year, and again, as in the previous two editions, with a grand final prize of five trips to the Caribbean by Grupo Piñero. Apart from the prizes of each tournament (premium branded clothing from the fairway+blue store in Puerto Banús, D.O. In the first category, the first three classified that obtained a place for the grand final of the Circuit were Ignacio Cervantes Alonso (40 points), José Luis Rodríguez Rodríguez (39) and Garry McCollum (37).
The top three finishers in the second category were the following: Giulio Riva (40 points), Javier Madrigal Burgaleta (40) and Cyril Dominicy (38). Cyril Dominicy qualified to play the final in the tournament played in Valle Romano, so the fourth classified in Santa Clara Marbella, Francisco Romero de las Cuevas, gets the right to play the final on November 21 in Atalaya Old.
The scratch winner was David Carretero Castillo, with 35 points. As this player qualified in the tournament played in Atalaya, the right to play the final goes to the second classified, Ignacio Sarasola Arribas.
