Santa María Golf triumphs with the San Miguel Andalucía Golf Challenge

The excellent Marbella course Santa María Golf has once again triumphed with a round of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia’. There were 106 players, all with buggies, who were able to enjoy an unbeatable course and weather. As usual in the Circuit, the places were sold out in advance.

The course was in perfect condition, with excellent greens.

A lunch that delighted the players was served in the Hoyo 19 restaurant, overlooking the 1st tee and 18th green. The awards ceremony was presented by the director of the course, Pedro Batista, and attended by Gabriela Jones from the Fairway+Blue store, who provided garments from her magnificent store located in Puerto Banús and which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary, and Jesús Porro, of inversionesparavagos.com. Both are two of the Circuit’s collaborating firms.

The players enjoyed San Miguel beers both during the round and lunch. The winners received magnum crianza from Bodegas Marqués de Terán, Bridgestone balls and Fairway+Blue apparel. There were special prizes from the Tragabuches Restaurant of Michelin Star Dani García and Bodegas Marqués de Terán. After the awards ceremony there was a small raffle of gifts.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit runs through all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.

The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on September 28th at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.

The next meeting of the Circuit will be on Sunday, June 2 at La Dehesa Golf Club (Madrid).
