
The ensemble composed of Michele O’Sullivan, Ubaldina Campos Torres, María Ángeles Fontana Bertrán and Inmaculada González Siles won the second event of the Zone A of the International Women’s International Women’s Circuitwhich was held at the excellent Costa del Sol course of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina (San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella).
The foursome from Santa María Golf & Country Club finished with a total of 96 points, beating Milagros Echeverría Fernández, Carmen Fernández Anguís, Consuelo Cortés Munilla and Rosario Luque Márquez.
It should be recalled that in the first round, played at the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, the team formed by Gabriela Molina de la Escalera, María Inés Pérez Gómez, Paloma Rodríguez-Arias Espinosa and María Isabel Gómez Pérez won with a total of 103 points.
The awards ceremony was attended by Candelaria Flores, in her first tournament as President of the Women’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Juan Ramón Martínez Landazábal, President of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina; Ignacio del Cuvillo; Manager of the host club; and María Pilar van Dulken.
On the other hand, in Zone B, in which 12 teams participate, the first event of the season will be played this coming Saturday at Santa Clara Golf Granada (Otura).
The International Women’s Tour of Andalusia is played over 18 holes under the Stableford Handicap modality, scoring the sum of the three best rounds of each team.
Baviera Golf, last round of the I Phase of the Junior Circuit before its Grand Final
The Malaga course of Baviera Golf (La Caleta de Vélez) hosts tomorrow, Saturday, April 26, the last round of the first phase of the Boy, Girl, Cadet, Children, Alevín and Benjamín de Andalucía Circuit.
A total of 82 players aged between 18 and 11 years, plus 11 juniors will take part in a competition that will close its First Phase next June with the celebration of the Grand Final at the Cadiz course of Golf Novo Sancti Petri (Chiclana de la Frontera).
The Andalusian Junior Circuit is played over 18 holes according to the Stroke Play Scratch modality, except for the Benjamin category, which is played over 9 holes.
