For the second consecutive year, the Benalmadena course of Bil Bil Golf put an end to the Andalusian Pitch & Putt Circuit.. The characteristics of this magnificent layout, the only 18-hole P&P course currently available in Andalusia, allowed more than 120 players to tee off.
This resounding success of participation again demonstrates the significant increase in the number of players in a circuit that this year has held ten tournaments at Club de Golf La Siesta, Benalmádena Golf (2), Alhaurín Golf, Sherry Golf Jerez (2), Escuela Pública La Cartuja, Monte Paraíso Golf, Magna Marbella Golf and Bil Bil Golf.
In this last event, in terms of the scratch classification, Pedro Marín Santander scored his second victory of the season after the one he won less than a month ago at Magna Marbella Golf.
As on that occasion, the young player from Cadiz benefited from the handicap difference to break the tie at 52 strokes (2 under par) with Andrés Pastor Ayllón and Leonardo Lilja Moyano.
Regarding the handicap winners, in the first category, Nacho Jiménez García won with a card of 51 net strokes, followed by local golfer José Gavilán Lara.
In the second category, Gonzalo Rosa Manzanares was the winner with a round of 49 strokes, two strokes behind Alex Christison.
In addition, it is worth mentioning the sensational hole-in-one scored by Tim Waller with the putter on the 8th hole of the Costa del Sol course.
Once the sporting day was over, the awards ceremony began with the presence of Antonio Fuentes, Acting President of the Pitch & Putt Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Jorge Figueroa, Sports Director of Bil Bil Golf; Rodolfo Módena, Course Captain of the host club; and Carlos Rubio, President of the Mancomunidad Arenal Golf.
During the ceremony, in addition to the winners of the event, the Andalusian players who this season have been proclaimed champions of Spain Pitch & Putt, in most cases for the second consecutive year, received some pictures with photographs of their brilliant victories as recognition.
Finally, and as a culmination to another year to frame the Andalusian Pitch & Putt, all participants and organizers tasted some beautiful and delicious cakes prepared by the catering service of Bil Bil Golf.
