As expected, all participants enjoyed enormously one of the best golf courses in Spain: La Reserva de Sotogrande, in the Cádiz macro-urbanization from which it takes its name. The high quality of the course and its extraordinary presentation dazzled the players from dazzled the players of the fourth meeting of the IV Andalusia Golf Challenge, who devoted great praise to this prestigious course, the work of one of the prestigious designer Cabell B. Robinson.
The competition distributed flights to Turkey with Turkish Airlines for the winners of each category, as well as numerous prizes in material (clubs, bags, etc.) from Holiday Golf for the first three classified, who also won cases of gran reserva wines from the Somontano D.O.. The Fairways + Blue store also contributed with different prizes and gifts, as did the Marbella Casino. After the awards ceremony, a raffle of numerous items was held among all participants.
The fourth event of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2014 Circuit brought together nearly a hundred players, who took part in this open competition promoted by this publication.
The awards ceremony, in the majestic clubhouse of La Reserva de Sotogrande, where a cocktail was served, was chaired by the editor of Andalucía Golf, Antonio Sánchez, the director of the host club, Juan Álvarez, and the general manager of Holiday Golf, Stefan Tjellander.
Regarding the sports results, in the first category, the victory went to Lucía Alonso-Olarra. Second place went to Gustavo Gabarda and third to Manuel Aceña.
In the second category, Jaime Olaso de la Rica won. Marta Gómez Acebo was second and third place went to Luis Dia Castellanos.
In the ladies’ classification, Marta Gómez Acebo won, followed by Lucía Alonso Olarra and María del Carmen García Bellido.
After having already taken place in Rio Real, Finca Cortesín, San Roque Old and La Reserva (15(08/2014), lhe next appointments of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2014 Circuit are the following: Flamingos (August 23) and Aloha (September 6). The reservation to participate must be made at each golf course where the tournament will take place. Registration costs 75 euros in Flamingos and 95 in Aloha, in both cases with buggy and cocktail included.
