Svensson, from Guadalmina, third in the Spanish U18 Championship

The player from Madrid, Alejandro del Rey, won the Spanish Under 18 Men’s Championship held at the Layos Golf Course (Toledo) thanks to a spectacular final round of 68 strokes, for a total of 283 (-5). He was followed, with 287 (-1), by Borja Martín from San Sebastian, who added to the merit of being classified in second position the prize for the best cadet-age player of the tournament.

The third position went to the player from Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Marcus Svensson, who matched the par of the Layos Golf Course with a cumulative score of 288, after having maintained an excellent level of play in the competition, with rounds of 75, 71, 70 and 72 strokes.

As for the other Andalusian representatives who have played the last round, the player of San Roque Club, Victor Bjorlow, has taken the sixth position after signing today 71 strokes, for a total of 292. He has also finished in the top ten -in seventh place and with 293 strokes accumulated- the federated by the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, Pablo Rodriguez-Tabernero.

Completing the list of Andalusian participants who passed the cut established yesterday, also a player of the Real Club de Sevilla, Pablo Heredia, eleventh with 299 strokes; Felipe Barrena (Real Club de Golf Guadalmina) and Matyas Zapletal, both tied for 18th place with 303 strokes; Pablo Alonso (Guadalhorce Golf Club) and Calvin Greschner (SIGA – Sotogrande) in 24th with 304; Gonzalo Garcia (El Candado), in 38th; and Angel Hidalgo (Real Club de Golf Guadalmina) in 56th.

This event counts towards the R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking and the 2015 Boy and Cadet National Rankings.
