The Andalucía Men’s Cup -which will open the 2015 competition calendar- will be held at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina (San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella) from January 8 to 11.
The test – scoring for the World, National and Andalusian Rankings – will bring together the most outstanding amateur golfers at national level. Among them, the presence of the player from La Cañada, Mario Galiano, who heads the list of participants with the lowest handicap (+4.4).
Along with him, the names of Scott W. Fernández (+3.5) from Granada, the player from Real de Sevilla, Pablo Rodríguez-Tabernero (+3) and Víctor Pastor, from Club de Campo de Córdoba (+2.8), winner of the competition in 2012, stand out.
In addition, among the participants there is also the defending champion, Adriá Arnaus (+3.8), and other outstanding players of the national scene, such as Iván Cantero (+4.4) or Xabier Gorospe (+4.1). Likewise, consolidated foreign players such as the Finnish Lauri Ruuska (+4.3) or James Lombardo (+3.8) stand out.
The Andalucia Cup is played in 72 holes Stroke Play over four consecutive days, playing 18 holes each day. The last day will only be played by the 50 best classified and equal in this position.
In the last edition, Mario Galiano was the best positioned Andalusian, finishing in seventh place.
