The Costa del Golf is going to show during this week all its potential with numerous events that are placing it in the spotlight of all the spotlights. Of the twenty actions aimed at promoting the destination in the last two months of the year, the most important are those aimed at the golf segment.
From 25 to 27 November is being held the X National Congress of the Spanish Association of Golf Managers in the Parador Malaga Golf. The CEO of Turismo Costa del Sol, Margarita del Cid, today participated in a lunch organized by the Spanish Association of Golf Managers (AEGG), where he stressed that “this is an excellent opportunity to return to put Malaga in the center of all eyes. Especially because we have the opportunity to show you in situ the excellent facilities, locations and benefits of our destination for the practice of golf.
Del Cid added that “our potential in the golf segment is unquestionable: golf continues to be one of our best ambassador segments of the destination nationally and internationally, with our equipment, which is around 70 courses, spread along ‘La Costa del Golf'”.
He also wanted to emphasize that “every year, golf gives us magnificent figures that help, and how, to manage seasonality”, highlighting that “to all this, we must add that golfers give us an average score of 9.24 out of ten: an exceptional figure whose greatest guarantors are safety, humane treatment and value for money. 98.7% recommend the Costa del Golf destination”.
Therefore, the CEO of Costa del Sol Tourism has especially stressed that “our main objective is to consolidate the Costa del Sol as a high-level destination by strengthening its image and prestige, to further reduce seasonality. And events like this, undoubtedly contribute to this”.
Also during this week Turismo Costa del Sol is organizing the Pro – Am Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2019 on November 26 and 27, with the participation of about twenty journalists at national level.
And the highlight will come at the weekend with the 2019 Spanish Women’s Open, which takes place from November 28 to December 1 at Aloha Golf. The Costa del Sol will host this international event for the fourth consecutive year and six times in total. The tournament is part of the European Ladies Golf circuit, which is held on 5 continents, with 23 tournaments, in 18 countries and uniting 325 professionals of 42 different nationalities. The coverage given to this renowned event reaches 500 million households, providing coverage in 148 countries.
The entity is once again putting all its efforts in the golf segment during this final stretch of the year. Of the twenty actions scheduled to carry out the promotion of the destination, most and the most important are those aimed at golf, to make the Costa del Sol again in the epicenter of this sport and show all the strengths and the great potential of the Costa del Golf.
