The Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters returns in October to Real Club de Golf Sotogrande

The foursome of Adri Arnaus, Jorge Campillo, Nacho Elvira and Pablo Larrazábal will return to Spain to play the tenth edition of the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande from October 17 to 20.

The tournament, to be held once again at the beautiful Real Club de Golf Sotogrande after its successful debut at this venue in 2023, will be the penultimate round of the “Back 9” of the DP World Tour, decisive for players seeking a place in the Play-Offs of the circuit. Tickets for the tournament can already be purchased at this link from 20 euros (for members and their families and friends), with free admission for children under 13 years and discounts for children under 18 years.

Pablo Larrazábal, winner of nine DP World Tour titles, made a strong start to the season with a top-five finish at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, and will be looking to add to his impressive haul in Andalucía.

The winner of the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year title in 2008 is seeking his second title in a tournament played in his home country after winning the ISPS Handa Championship in Spain in 2022.

“Real Club de Golf Sotogrande is a special golf course, an impressive venue for the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters,” Larrazábal said.

“I’m lucky to have won at home in the past, but to win in Andalusia in front of our home crowd would be very special.”

Jorge Campillo, with three DP World Tour titles to his credit, won last year’s Magical Kenya Open presented by Absa, a milestone that helped him earn a spot on the PGA TOUR, and is looking forward to returning to Spain for a momentous stage of the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai.

“It’s going to be wonderful to come home and play the Andalucia Masters at such an important time of the season for us,” says Campillo.

“The course is spectacular and I’m really looking forward to playing in Sotogrande and improving on my top 20 from last year. I have never won in Spain and that has always been one of my goals.”

Nacho Elvira has had a very consistent campaign in which he has only missed one cut in nine DP World Tour tournaments, with a runner-up finish in the Magical Kenya Open as his best result.

The 37-year-old made his DP World Tour debut at the Cazoo Open supported by Gareth Bale in 2021 and will try to add another title this year in Sotogrande.

“I’m delighted to play the Andalucia Masters again,” he explains. “It’s always special to play in Spain and I’m really looking forward to it.”

“This tournament gives us the opportunity to play on one of the best courses in Spain and it’s going to be a great week.”

Arnaus earned his DP World Tour playing privileges by prevailing at the Challenge Tour Grand Final in Ras Al Khaimah to finish second in the rankings in 2018, and has been on the circuit ever since.

The 29-year-old golfer made his DP World Tour debut at home by winning the Catalunya Championship, and is delighted with the possibility of playing in front of the home crowd again in San Roque.

“Having the option to play in front of a great home crowd is always exciting. Last year I really enjoyed myself in Sotogrande and finished in the top 20,” he says.

I won my first DP World Tour tournament in Spain at the Catalunya Championship, and it was one of the best moments of my career. It’s going to be another memorable week and I’m really looking forward to October.”
