The R.C. Valderrama luxury setting for the fourth round of the Andalusia Golf Challenge Circuit destination ‘La Romana Golf Club Bahia Principe’.

R.C. Valderrama managed, as always, to elicit the majority praise of all participants in the fourth tournament of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2018 Destination ‘La Romana Golf Club Bahía Príncipe’ Circuit in the Dominican Republic.

The design by the legendary American architect Robert Trent Jones did not disappoint anyone, even though the results were not always what the players expected or desired. The course, which presented magnificent conditions, and a light breeze that helped to soften the temperature, made possible a great sporting day that will remain, for one reason or another, in the memory of the participants.

Players from Huelva, Almeria, Seville, Cordoba, Malaga and countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Italy and Switzerland attended this fourth round of the tournament circuit organized by Andalucía Golf/España Golf.

In addition to the prizes for each tournament (top brand clothing from the Fairway and Blue store in Puerto Banús, D.O. Somontano wines, sports equipment, etc.), the top five in each category get a place in the grand final of the circuit to be played at RCG Guadalmina (South course) on September 30, where the five trips to the Dominican Republic will be decided. The prize includes flight, hotel (Bahía Príncipe) and four days of golf (two at La Romana Golf Club, one at Punta Espada (Cap Cana) and another at Diente de Perro (Casa de Campo).

As for the special prizes, the Closest Ball was won by Daniel Kunz on hole three; the Longest Drive for Ladies (hole 7) was won by Felisa Maldonado; and the Longest Drive for Gentlemen went to Don Gustafson.

The Scratch winner was Clive Tyler, who had as a special prize a magnificent painting, the work of the renowned and quoted painter based in Marbella, Alejandro Hermann.

The sports day concluded in one of the splendid terraces of the Club House of the RC Valderrama, where the awards ceremony was held after a cocktail.
