The Royal Spanish Golf Federation, through the so-called Communication and Companies Cup, joins the celebration of the International Women Golfers’ Day, which will take place on June 4, 2019 in all those Spanish golf courses that want to adhere to this initiative, which is scheduled to be held in more than fifty countries around the world.
The dissemination of the fact that, in Spain, almost 80,000 women practice this sport is part of an initiative promoted, among other organizations, by the International Golf Federation, the World Golf Foundation, the LPGA and LET Professional Tours and the Royal Spanish Golf Federation.
This event, integrated within the framework of the Women and Sport Program, is aimed at both novice players and more experienced players, encouraging clubs to allocate that day, Tuesday, June 4, 2019, as a day of initiation and socialization through the organization of specific tournaments of 18 or 9 holes or by conducting clinics that contribute to those who come to have a positive contact with the sport of golf taking advantage of the knowledge of those who already have more experience.
The Communication and Business Cup, a series of events promoted by the RFEG in collaboration with the Association of Journalists and Press, Radio, Television and Internet Informers (APEI) in order to disseminate the values of golf, will specifically organize a central event at the National Golf Center to commemorate this International Women Golfers’ Day.
Recall that in 2017 and 2018, on the occasion of the first two editions of the International Women Golfers’ Day, almost a hundred tournaments were held in Spain with exclusively female participation in order to put in value not only the fact of the high number of female players, but the importance of the full incorporation of women into the sport, connecting in the media and vindictive approach that has the celebration of the International Women Golfers’ Day both in our country and abroad.
