XV Circuito San Miguel Andalucía Golf Challenge Costa del Sol lands at Club de Golf La Cañada, San Roque

A spectacular tournament bound for the Dominican Republic by Globalia

Last weekend was held at the emblematic La Cañada Golf Club La Cañada Golf Club of San Roque a new round of the prestigious XV Circuit San Miguel Andalucía Golf Challenge Costa del Sol Destino Dominican Republic by Globalia, which brought together numerous players in search of a direct pass to the final.

Registrations were completed one week in advance and there were players on the waiting list who were unable to participate.

The Competition: Tournament Details

The tournament started at 7:40 a.m. in order of handicap, with tee-offs every 9 minutes until 9 a.m., after which tee-offs were every 10 minutes. Thanks to this and the punctuality of the tee-offs, the 174 players were able to finish with daylight, precisely on the eve of the changeover to daylight saving time.

The club’s restaurant once again hosted a fantastic cocktail party prior to the awards ceremony and gift drawing.

There were San Miguel beers and Solán de Cabras waters on the course and at the awards cocktail.

On the 14th tee, the players were given a gift by Hospital Recoletas to show them their facilities in Marbella.

We highlight the high level of play among the participants, with 18 players below handicap 5.

Winners of the different categories

The presentation was made by the director of La Cañada Golf Club, Jaime Ravina. All the winners received gifts of wines from La Navarra Group and golf apparel from the best golf store in Marbella, Fairway + Blue.

Awards and trips to the Dominican Caribbean

This qualifying tournament is part of the XV San Miguel Andalucía Golf Challenge Costa del Sol Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia Circuit, which rewards the best players with five exclusive golf trips to the Dominican Republic in the grand finale. In addition, there will be an additional trip raffled among all participants who are members of the loyalty program SUMA Air Europaincluding a SUMA Air Europa Gold card.

The national final will be played at San Roque Golf & Resort on Saturday, September 20, with a gala dinner to close the circuit on the same day at the Hotel Occidental Puerto Banús.
