A good number of famous ex-football players and well-known sports journalists have attended the official presentation of the I Manu Sarabia Trophy, which will take place from today until Saturday at the Costa del Sol’s Santana Golf. L he presentation took place last night at the La Familia beach bar in La Cala de Mijas, in La Cala de Mijas.
The event was attended by the participants in the tournament, including famous former players and important sports journalists. The line-up of the players was composed of: Pirri (Real Madrid), Carlos Santillana (Real Madrid), Isidoro San José (Real Madrid), Paco Doblas (Celta de Vigo), Pepe Salguero (Real Madrid, Sevilla, Málaga), Iñaki Sáez (Athletic Bilbao and coach of the Spanish national team), Boquerón Esteban (Málaga, Barcelona), Manu Sarabia (Athletic Bilbao and Spanish national team) and Neil Clement(Chelsea).
On the journalists’ side are José Ángel de la Casa (TVE Española), Carlos Martínez (Canal Plus), Nacho Aranda (Canal Plus), Joaquín Marín (Diario Sur, Opinión Málaga, Canal Sur). Isabel López Pastor (Opinión Málaga and Golf Digest), Juan Jesús Quirós (Canal Sur golf specialist), Antonio Bustos (Canal Sur), Carlos Hirschfeld (Canal Plus) and Jorg Wontorra (Sport 1 “Moderator Doppelpass”).
The charity tournament, whose proceeds will go to the Seve Ballesteros Foundation and the Cielo 113 Association, will last three days and will end on Saturday, July 6 at the acclaimed Santana Golf.
