Stewart Cink, winner of the 2009 British Open, can now boast of another milestone in his career: having holed a 31-meter putt! Of course, the thing has a trick, because the American golfer did not do it on a golf course, and not even in sunlight. It happened at night on a basketball court.
The show, which is what it was all about after all, had a philanthropic purpose: to help raise $25,000 for a Georgia Tech student.
The winner of six tournaments on the American Tour celebrated his great shot on the course as if he was reliving his triumph in the British Open. Then Cink would write the following on twitter next to a photo of the ball with which he hit the great shot: “I’m going to use this ball all my life: I’ve holed it from 94 feet!
