The Santa María golf tournament closed the Costa del Sol season with a full field and a waiting list, in another leg of the SAN MIGUEL XVI ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE CIRCUIT COSTA DEL SOL – DOMINICAN REPUBLIC DESTINATION BY GLOBALIA, with San Miguel Beer as main sponsor. Santa María Golf & Country Club once again hosted the circuit with the course presented in excellent condition.
The Santa María golf tournament brings down the curtain on the Costa del Sol season
The Santa María golf tournament was the last of the season on the Costa del Sol within the circuit. Only the closing tournament at Maioris remains to complete the field of 100 finalists who will contest the five winners’ places for the golf trip to the Dominican Republic, scheduled from 29 October to 6 November.
Santa María once again hosted a leg of the circuit and, for the occasion, opened for play the four greens that had been rebuilt at the start of the summer. The result of the work was perfect: the rebuilt greens were practically on a par with the rest of a course presented in excellent condition.
A course in top shape and buggies for everyone
Every player had a buggy during the Santa María golf tournament and could cool off with the San Miguel beers and Solán de Cabras water laid out at a couple of points on the course, as well as during the meal served at the end of the round, before the prize-giving and the raffle that followed.
The team at the H19 restaurant, led by Seyni Gueye Dia, looked after the more than 100 diners who gathered after the Santa María golf tournament flawlessly.
A carefully staged prize-giving
The prize-giving of the Santa María golf tournament was hosted by the club director, Pedro Batista, whom the organisation thanks for his kindness, his attentiveness and his professionalism. As well as the prizes by classification —with garments from the Fairway + Blue golf boutique, wines from Grupo La Navarra and prizes from the telephone and fibre operator OLIN—, there were special prizes on all the par 3s, with invitations to dine at the Latte Lagoon and Arrozante restaurants, both in Puerto Banús.
In the gift raffle of the Santa María golf tournament, the highlights were the SMART GOLF book by Jésica Reyes and the spectacular Vessel bag donated by the international law firm De Cotta Law.
