Amateur makes two holes-in-one in the same round

Golf is a sport in which sometimes really strange and sometimes extraordinary things happen. For example, the one that has had as protagonist the amateur Jim Grant, who has holed two holes in one in one round. The feat happened on the other side of the world, at the Green Acres Golf Club in Australia.
The first hole he holed from the tee occurred on the 11th, and the second, on the 17th. In the first case he used an 8 iron and after hitting it he turned to his friends to tell them “I think it’s going to be close” and then his playing partners started to jump for joy.

Six holes later he asked the three partners he was playing with what the chances were that the same thing would happen again as on 11.
“One of them ventured that the chance was about 60 million to one, and I just putted up, hit a 5-iron and it went in,” Grant said. “We jumped for joy and screamed a little bit. It was pretty amazing,” he added.
The actual odds of an amateur making two holes-in-one are 67 million to one.
This was Grant’s third hole-in-one, having made his first last year.
