The U21 Andalusian Championship ended yesterday at the Playa Serena facilities, with the victory of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina players, Laura Gómez and Ángel Hidalgo.
With a total of 212 strokes, Angel Hidalgo has taken the first place and has been proclaimed Champion in the absolute classification. Antonio Cruz-Conde, also a Real Club de Golf Guadalmina player, was proclaimed runner-up with a total of 223.
For his part, the player of Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Pedro Marin, has won the U18 category, after accumulating 217 impacts, five more than Antonio Pina, federated by the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla that, with 222, has won the title of Champion U16.
As for the women’s classification, Laura Gomez has maintained the first place that already cosneguía yesterday, and has been proclaimed champion in the absolute category with 222 strokes, being runner-up also federated by the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, Lucila Puente, with a total of 224.
Finally, Teresa Toscano (Bellavista Golf Club) has signed the best result in the Under 18 category, with 223 strokes; while the local player Marta Lopez has been proclaimed Champion Under 16, with 237 strokes, and after winning in play off to her teammates Maria Contreras (El Paraiso) and Mimi Rhodes (La Cañada).
A total of 81 players took part in the Championship at the Playa Serena facilities between July 17 and 19. The event was played over 54 holes in stroke play Scratch, in three consecutive days, 18 holes each day.
The awards ceremony was attended by Enrique López, President of the Playa Serena Golf Club; Francisco Javier Martín, President Director of the Playa Serena Golf Club; Luis Mansilla, President of the Men’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; María Murillo, member of the Women’s Committee of the RFGA; and Francisco Contreras, tournament referee.
