
Azata Golfinaugurated last summer and the only new course on the Costa del Sol in the last ten years, will host the first round of the XI Andalucía Golf Challenge Andalucía Golf Circuit ‘Destination PGA Riviera Maya Bahia Principe’ on Saturday, March 6.
This is the first of the 25 tournaments that make up the eleventh edition of this open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit will cover the Andalusian provinces of Malaga, Cadiz, Almeria, Seville and Granada, as well as Madrid and Segovia, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol.
The grand final of the circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Mexican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played at Marbella Club Golf Resort on October 2 and will be followed by a gala dinner at the El Gamonal Restaurant in Marbella.
Access to the final will be direct for the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded on the basis of the ranking based on the points obtained in each event.
The Azata Golf tournament will have important prizes for the scratch winner and the first three classified in each category, as well as for the longest drive (male and female) and closest ball to the flag. Tee-off at 9.30 am. The registration fee for the tournament is 53 euros and includes buggy, paella and gift raffle.

DESCRIPTION OF THE FIELD. Designed by Sterling and Martin Golf Course Architects, the par 71 course is a comfortable layout that is perfectly playable on foot, without the need for a buggy. The greens of Azata Golf, with an exceptional presentation, are wide and are characterized by many falls. Water is present on many holes. The first part of the course is almost entirely with mountain views, while the second round offers spectacular panoramic views of the sea. The 15th, a par 3 with a green almost on an island, is one of the emblematic holes of this new course located in Estepona.

PGA RIVIERA MAYA DESTINATION BAHIA PRINCIPE
The Grand Final of the Circuit will determine the five one-week all-inclusive trips to the Bahia Principe resort in Riviera Maya with golf at PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleon Mayakoba and Playa Paraiso. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played on October 2 at Marbella Club Golf Resort, will travel to the Mexican Caribbean.
