Bill Haas won a double prize after winning, after a play-off playoff, the prestigious FedEx Cup of the American Tour Championship. His victory brought him one of the most important prizes in world sport: no less than ten million dollars.
The American player, son of the legendary Jay Haas, had to fight against his compatriot Hunter Mahan, with whom he played a playoff after finishing both tied at 272 strokes after two cards of 68 (-2) and 71 (+1), respectively, although he could have avoided it if he had not made two bogeys on the 16th and 18th holes.
In addition, the winner had problems on the second playoff hole, when he sent the ball into the water, but was able to pull it out masterfully to save par, while Mahan was unable to make the winning birdie.
On the third, Haas saved par, but not his compatriot, who went to the bunker to lose his chances in the tournament and to win the succulent prize money that the competition gives, a bonus of more than seven million euros. For the winner it was his third title on the American Tour.
