María Parra won with a total of 230 strokes, +10, after cards of 76, 77 and 76 impacts. This last round was enough to overcome her teammate in the National Teams Paz Marfá (231), who took flight again after a great start and a gray second round.
The event, which has been the first scoring for the Women’s National Rankings Absolute, U18 and Cadet and for the World Ranking, has also been the scene of the good performance of three young players who have drawn a nice week: Natalia Aseguinolaza, Clara Moyano and Sara Navarro. So much so that they have shared the third place.
Paz Marfa climbed to the lead after the first round of this Andalucia Women’s Cup. The Catalan player signed the par in a complicated day where none of the participants could beat the field. Natalia Aseguinolaza and Carmen Sainz were one stroke behind, while Marta García, Ana Peláez and María Parra, with 76 strokes, were close to the lead.
The classification became even tighter on the second day, which ended with a triple tie for the lead: Natalia Aseguinolaza, Teresa Díez and the defending champion, Maria Parra. The weather conditions had a decisive influence on the high scores.
At the end of the second round, 51 golfers passed the cut, which was set at +21.
María Parra’s great 2015 started at the Copa Andalucía
Looking back to the past, it is worth remembering that the then player of the Blume National School María Parra laid the foundation stone of her spectacular 2015 with a convincing victory in the Andalucía Cup, in which she beat Natalia Escuriola by four strokes despite closing the tournament with her most discreet day, a 76 that forced her to pull from the large cushion stored in the previous 36 holes.
A year earlier it was another blumera, Nuria Iturrios, who won at the Club Deportivo Golf El Puerto (El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cadiz). Also then Natalia Escuriola was second, leaving Marta Perez and Maria Parra herself in third place.
