De la Riva and Del Moral win 2013 European Tour card

Only two Spaniards, Eduardo de la Riva and Carlos del Moral passed the difficult final exam of the Qualifying School and graduated with honors by obtaining the card that will allow them to play the 2013 European Tour. They finished among the top 25, those who obtained the coveted card in the Final of the Qualifying School for the European Tour, where the 26-year-old Englishman John Parry won.

De la Riva signed 71 strokes the last of the six days that made up the final of the Q-School and finished classified in a comfortable ninth place, while Del Moral suffered much more and did not know if he got the card or not until the rest of his closest rivals finished. He finally qualified in twenty-fourth position. The Catalan Agustín Domingo was only three strokes away from the card.

John Parry finished the week with a spectacular overall score of minus nineteen. Sweden’s Mikael Lundberg followed with minus fifteen and England’s Andy Sullivan was third with minus thirteen.
