Dubai: $13 million in prize money and great duel between Molinari and Fleetwood

If the 8 DP World Tour Championship and the 5 Race to Dubai tournaments are added, this weekend 13 million dollars are at stake in the last tournament of the European Tour season, to which the 60 best players of the year have gained access.
The Spanish representation at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai is composed of defending champion Jon Rahm, Sergio García, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Jorge Campillo and Adrián Otaegui.

The winner of the last tournament of the season will pocket 1,333,300 dollars, the second, 88,900 and the third, 520,000.
The Race to Dubai ranking is headed by Francesco Molinari, winner of the British Open, followed by the English Tommy Fleetwood, winner of the 2017 Race to Dubai, and Justin Rose. Rory McIlroy, winner of two Race to Dubai, is fifth, and Rahm – the best Spaniard in this ranking – is thirteenth.

The Race to Dubai bonus totals 5 million euros, of which the first place winner will pocket 1,250,000, the second place winner 750,000 and the third place winner 600,000.
If the winner of the tournament is also the number one in the Race to Dubai, the lucky winner will pocket a total of 2,583,300 dollars. And here there are only two candidates, in terms of accumulated points: Molinari and Fleetwood. The Italian, with an advantage of 1,025,000 points (equivalent to dollars) has a much better chance of being crowned number one in the Race to Dubai, since Fleetwood would have to win the tournament and hope that Molinari does not finish in the top five for his rival to do so.
