This is what the top five on the LPG Tour would do with the $1 million they stand to win on Sunday

The LPGA Tour season comes to an end this weekend, and it does so with a lot at stake, both in sporting and economic terms. The CME Group Tour Championship has increased its prize purse and equals with 5 million dollars the maximum amount of a women’s tournament (the US Women’s Open) and also becomes the one that will award the highest amount to the winner: 1.5 million dollars (the victory in the aforementioned big one has been this year of 900,000 dollars).
In addition to the tournament prizes, there is another very succulent prize at stake, the one for the winner of the Race to the CME Globe, that is, the best over the course of the season, who will pocket one million dollars. So, if the winner of the tournament on Sunday is the same as the one crowned number one in the Race to the CME Globe, she will walk away with $2.5 million. There are a dozen players with a mathematical chance of taking home the $1 million Race bonus.
In reference to these big payouts, the top five finishers in the Race to CME Globe were asked what they would do with $1 million, and these are their answers:

Ariya Jutanugarn (pictured), world and Race to CME Globe number 1
“I’m going to go eat. Eat a lot. I don’t, you know, I mean, I never think about money because leaving here I think the best place I can be is here. I never think about money, how much I make. I’m just going to keep doing what I love. I love supporting the children in Thailand. I will keep doing that, no matter how much I earn, anyway.”

Minjee Lee, number 2 in the Race and number 5 in the world
“Maybe a (Mercedes) AMG”.

Brooke Henderson, #3 in the Race and #9 in the world
“I’ve been asked for the last three years, and I’m still not sure. But just the opportunity to be here I’m already very grateful. Hopefully I can do something special this week.”

Nasa Hataoka, No. 4 in the Race and No. 6 in the world
“Seeing all the houses on the golf course, I’d really like to have one of those.”

Sung Hyun Park, #5 in the Race and #2 in the world
“Every year I always travel with my friends, but if I win a million dollars I want to take my whole family to a warm place to have fun.”
