Estepona Golf, successful venue of the San Miguel Andalucía Golf Challenge

The Estepona Golf course in Costasoleño Estepona Golf has successfully hosted the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia’.

The course was presented in very good condition after the irrigation renovation of the second round and construction of new buggy paths. This reform will be completed shortly to do the same in the first round, which will be a very substantial improvement of the field. The tournament participants enjoyed the premiere of a new fleet of perfectly equipped buggies. The tournament took place under a splendid sun, a magnificent temperature and some wind.

Players enjoyed San Miguel beer and Solán de Cabras water both during the awards luncheon and on the course, on holes 3, 8 and 12.

The awards ceremony was attended by Ramón Pons, general manager of the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús, one of the sponsors of the Circuit.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit runs through all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.

The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on September 28 at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.

The next meeting of the Circuit will be on Saturday, May 22nd at Atalaya Old Course.
