Former Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has enjoyed one of his great hobbies, golf, at Atalaya Golf & Country Club. The former Italian footballer, who was also coach of the Milan, Roma and Juventus teams, and technical director of the national team of England and Russia (his last position so far, between the months of July 2012 and 2015), is a great fan of the sport of clubs and a regular visitor to the aforementioned Costa del Sol club.
At Atalaya Golf, a club located between the towns of Marbella and Estepona and which has two courses, the Old and the New, Capello was accompanied by the professional Juan Carlos Piñero, brother of Ryder Cup player and triple World Champion Manolo Piñero, who will captain the Spanish men’s team at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro next August.
Capello was the best person that the director of Atalaya Golf & Country Club, Andrés Sánchez, could find to comment on the last results of the round of 16 of the European Championship in France (Italy – Spain and England – Iceland).
The former Italian footballer is a regular on the Costa del Sol and a few days ago he was having dinner with some friends at the 19th hole of the San Pedro Golf Club, in the area of Guadalmina Alta, in the municipality of Marbella.
