The splendid course of Fairplay Golf & Spa Resort, in the Cadiz municipality of Benalup, has been the luxurious setting for the second round of the X Circuito Andalucía Golf Challenge Destino República Dominicana Ocean’s 4 Bahía Príncipe. This great complex located in the beautiful region of La Janda, where the so-called Ruta del Toro runs, welcomed the participants of the tournament organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf, who in addition to the magnificent golf course could enjoy the sensational five-star hotel and the spa of more than 2,000 square meters of the resort.
The course has an incomparable natural beauty. Its 18 holes are surrounded by impressive Mediterranean vegetation composed mainly of wild olive trees, cork oaks, pines and mastic trees. Its gentle orography is very pleasant for the practice of golf.
Located a short distance from the village of Benalup and near the beautiful town of Vejer de la Frontera, the golf course has spectacular views of the well-known area of the Janda lagoons and the Alcornocales Natural Park, which includes one of the most attractive forests in Europe.

THE BEST
A splendid sun and a very pleasant temperature accompanied the players throughout the tournament, which ended with the victory of Joaquín Escalante Boceta in first category with 36 points, and Alejandro López Maléndez in second, with 38. The scratch winner was Jesús Sánchez Calvente, with 32 scratch points. In their respective categories, José Manuel Bryan Jiménez (34 points) and Germán Camacho Chaves (37) were second, and the third places went to Manuel David Rodríaguez Amaya (34) and Francisco Huertas Macías (37). There were special prizes for the closest ball to the flag, which went to Farncisco Javier Gavira Padilla, and for the longest drives, which went to Lulu Pouroulis and Joaquín Escalante Boceta.
Those who did not know Fairplay Golf, who were the majority of the participants in the tournament, were very positively surprised by the course and highlighted the quality of the course and the excellent presentation of the course.
The five-star hotel was also widely praised, as was the service and attention provided.
It was a full weekend that in the end was too short, so many plan to return.
Organized by Andalucía Golf magazine, the Circuit, which this year celebrates its tenth edition and consists of 17 tournaments plus the final, has as sponsors Bahía Príncipe Golf, Bahía Príncipe Hotels & Resorts and Bahía Príncipe Residences, as collaborators Holiday Golf, Fairway+blue and D.O. TRIP TO THE CARIBBEAN
As was the case in 2018 (in 2019 the destination was the Riviera Maya), the top five in the circuit will be awarded a a one-week trip to the Dominican Republic, with a stay at all-inclusive basis at the five-star hotel Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville, and with golf on the spectacular courses Ocean’s 4, Punta Espada and Teeth of the Dog. The planned date for the trip is from October 26 to November 2, 2020.
These five winners will come out of the grand final of the circuit, to be held on August 29 at Finca Cortesin, the scene of three editions of the Volvo World Match Play Championship. The top three in each of the two categories plus the best scratch classified in each tournament will enter the final. The first two in each category and the scratch winner of the grand final will win the prizes for the trip to the Dominican Caribbean.
