The magnificent Flamingos, one of the three courses of the Costa del Sol Villa Padierna Golf Club has once again demonstrated its great quality as the setting for the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit, which this year celebrates its eleventh edition and has as its grand final prize five one-week trips to Riviera Maya, in Mexico, including flights, transfers, five-star all-inclusive hotel and golf at three of the best courses in the Caribbean: PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleón Mayacoba and Playa Paraíso.
Sunny weather, moderate wind and a temperature of around 30 degrees accompanied the hundred or so players who took part in the tournament on the beautiful course of the magnificent golf club managed by Pedro Morán Rochell. Among the participants was Osvaldo Ardiles, World Cup winner with the Argentine national soccer team in 1978 and later player and coach of Tottenham and other renowned teams.
After the competition and before the prize giving and the raffle of gifts, the participants enjoyed a very special meal, an extraordinary barbecue by the Marbella butcher shop The Butcher Guadalmina, located in the Guadalmina Shopping Center. Rubén and his team together with Barbecue World staff prepared beef chops, pulled pork iberico and other delicacies, such as a tomato salad with burrata foam, which delighted the players. The meats were cooked on a range of barbecues supplied for the occasion by Barbecue World, whose Sales Director, Sebastián Green, explained the characteristics of the different stoves, which are fueled by pellets of different woods. This company has an exhibition / sale of its products in the Polygon of Estepona (Calle Juan de Mena, 18).
