La Cala Resort, one of the largest golf resorts in Spain, with three 18-hole courses plus a pitch & putt, hosted for the second consecutive year, the tournament of the Solidarity Circuit of the Real Madrid Foundation – Halcón Viajes, whose benefits will go on this occasion to the social and sports wheelchair basketball schools.
The tournament counted with the stellar participation of three former Real Madrid players, Pepe Salguero, Santi Aragón and Bernd Schuster. Along with them, another 160 players gathered at the Asia course of La Cala Resort to enjoy a great day of golf.
In order to cover the registration needs, which exceeded the forecasts, it was necessary to set up two shooting ranges, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
As is traditional before heading out to the course in their respective buggies, the participants received a welcome gift and halfway through the course they enjoyed a snack to regain strength.
The sun was setting when Agustín Alonso, La Cala Golf Area Supervisor, welcomed those present at the awards ceremony. Along with him, Pepe Salguero and Santi Aragón were the star figures who, with great kindness, took pictures with all the Madrid fans who requested them.
In the second category, Javier Moreno García won with a magnificent 43 points, with a corresponding drop in handicap. In first category the winner was Juan Montero Moreno with 38 points.
After the awarding of the trophies, the traditional raffle of gifts was held, thanks to the contributions of the different collaborating companies.
