Golf course managers from all over Spain meet in Seville to analyze the sector

The Real Club Sevilla Golf hosts from this Monday until today Wednesday the annual meeting of the Spanish Association of Golf Managers to celebrate the VIII Technical Conference and the National Championship of Golf Managers of the AEGG with more than one hundred attendees of this sector. The presentation of the meeting was made by Enrique Martín Soldevilla, managing director of Real Club Sevilla Golf; Salvador Álvarez, president of the AEGG, and Gonzaga Escauriaza, president of the RFEG.

During the opening day, representatives of the golf associations in attendance, including the AECG, the Spanish Golf Courses Association, the Royal Spanish Golf Federation and the Andalusian Golf Federation as host, discussed the need for unity in the Spanish golf industry to boost the sector throughout the country.

In addition, the meeting addressed the new technologies focused on golf management by Antonio Conde, CEO of GolfenRed, with the news of TeePannel, and Rafael García Buitrago, CEO of Value4Golf, who presented the value4golf analytics® application developed with the aim of providing information on the evolution of the club in a simple, easily interpretable way, in real time, and accessible from anywhere, to allow managers to know at any time the real figures of the club’s activity. Golfspain also presented Repwin Manager, a mobile application for the consultation of the most relevant information of the Master Golf applications.

In the specific training sessions for golf course managers, Javier Reviriego, general manager of Real Club Valderrrama, explained the trends on how to seek excellence in golf courses taking into account the resources available. Business expert Domenec Biosca reflected on leadership and the development of skills in golf course managers as leaders, motivators and team builders.

On golf course maintenance, Alberto Sánchez, an industrial engineer and expert in sports turf maintenance, explained how technology should be focused on golf course maintenance, with the latest trends in sensors, digital platforms and computer resources for the management of tasks and resources for the care of a golf course.

Finally today plays to close the meeting the traditional annual Championship of Directors and Managers of Golf Courses, in which the top finishers will be selected to represent Spain in the Iberian Golf Managers Cup promoted by the AEGG and Greenmowers and will be played against Portugal in 2018 at Golf Resort Praia d`el Rey.
