Great level in the Andalusian Doubles Championships in Rio Real

With a total score of 138 strokes, the players of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina Andrés Tamayo and Ángel Hidalgo, have been proclaimed International Double Champions of Andalusia in the men’s category, after adding 68 impacts to the 70 they delivered the day before.

In second position, and with a stroke more, have finished the SIGA-Sotogrande player, Calvin Greschner, and federated by the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Enrique Marin, who have signed an excellent result of 66 strokes, after the 73 that delivered the day before. The bronze went to the players of Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, Casto Ruiz and Antonio Cruz-Conde, with 141 strokes.

In the women’s category, Sara Navarro (La Siesta) and Rocío Sánchez (Los Naranjos) have defended the advantage in the first place they obtained the day before and, with 67 strokes in this second round and 142 in total, they have revalidated the title they already won last year.

Meanwhile, the players from El Paraíso, María Contreras and Sara García also maintained their second position, finishing with a total of 155. Finally, third place went to the duo formed by Valentina Albertazzi (Villa Padierna) and Marina Escobar (Almerimar), with 160 strokes.

During the first day, the participants played 18 holes of foursomes, and today they played the remaining 18 holes in four balls best ball mode, with the two rounds played being added together for classification purposes.

The tournament was characterized by the high level of play of the participants and by the magnificent condition of the course, designed by one of the most prestigious Spanish designers, Javier Arana.
