
The Granada Club de Golf course hosted the Andalusian Men’s Team Championship on June 13 and 14. After a first round foursome, an exciting second individual day has shaped the final winners.
In the first category, the Guadalmina team made up of Casto Gómez, Ángel Hidalgo, Antonio Cruz-Conde and Juan Krauel delivered a total of 369 Scratch strokes that earned them the first position.
Second place in this category also went to a team from Guadalmina, composed of Francisco Castaño, Timothy Waller, Christiaan Reynders and Marc Mueller, with 397.
In the second category, with 413 Scratch strokes, Alejandro Carrere, Samuel del Pino and Francisco and David Pulido have given the victory to Real Club de Campo de Málaga. The La Envia team was second, ten strokes behind, with the participation of Juan Enrique Martinez, Jose Antonio Perez-Corvera, Miguel Angel Quesada and Antonio Hervia.
The handicap prize in the first category went to the Pozoblanco Golf Club team of Juan Manuel Dueñas, José Antonio Pacheco, Diego Rísquez and Juan Antonio Gómez, with 362 strokes. In second category, 368 strokes have given this award to the local team of Rafael Leiva, Jorge Perez, Juan Urbistondo and Daniel Cabello.
The trophy ceremony was attended by Daniel Cabello, Provincial Delegate of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation in Granada, Manuel Sousa, President of Competition of the host club and José Luis Avilés as chief referee of the tournament.
