La Hacienda Heathland, one of the two courses of La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort, has been a successful venue for the last round of the XIII Andalucía Golf Challenge Destination PGA Riviera Maya Circuit.

The event aroused great expectation and the available places were again sold out, as has happened in the vast majority of tournaments this season, the thirteenth of the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit.
The course positively surprised the players who did not know it, which were many of the participants in this last event. The Hacienda Heathland, the workof the prestigious former Ryder Cup player and author of numerous internationally renowned layouts Dave Thomas, is a design of at least a similar level to La Hacienda Links. The course was in perfect playing condition and delighted the players.
The day of the competition was sunny, with a very pleasant average temperature, without excessive heat and with hardly any wind.
After the tournament, a cocktail was served in the clubhouse and the prizes were awarded and gifts were raffled, a ceremony that, on behalf of the club, was attended by Fernando Padrón, the resort’s Golf Director. Gabriela Johnes, from Fairway+Blue, and Jesús Porro, from Viviendo del Trading, also participated in the ceremony.
After this tournament, the only thing left to play is the Circuit Final on September 30 in Almenara (Sotogrande), where the five all-expenses-paid golf trips will be decided, flying with Air Europa to Cancun and staying at the five-star Grand Tulum in Bahia Principe to play PGA Riviera Maya, Mayakoba El Camaleón and Playa Paraíso.

The XIIIAndalucía Golf Challenge ‘Destino PGA Riviera Maya by Bahía Príncipe’ is an open amateur circuit organized by the Andalucía Golf/España Golf magazine that travels through all the Andalusian provinces, as well as others in central Spain, with most of the events taking place on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.
The grand final of the Circuit, where the five winners of the trips to the Mexican Caribbean will be played on September 30 in Almenara and will be followed by a gala dinner at the restaurant Barbillon Restaurant Beach Club in Marbella.
Access to the final is direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final are awarded based on the Ranking Benahavís prepared from the points obtained in each event.
DESTINATION PGA RIVIERA MAYA by BAHÍA PRÍNCIPE
The Grand Final of the Circuit will determine the five one-week all-inclusive trips to the Bahia Principe resort in Riviera Maya with golf at PGA Riviera Maya, El Camaleon Mayakoba and Playa Paraiso. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played on September 30 in Almenara, will travel to the Mexican Caribbean.
