

The competition distributed numerous gifts sponsored by the Fairway and Blue store (more than a thousand euros in top brand clothing), Holiday Golf, Casino Marbella and Bodegas Álvaro Domecq, which gave all participants over 18 years of age a bottle of of Verdejo wine Hacienda Montecorto of D.O. Rueda. For its part, Pont Group sponsored the Yamaha motorcycle that would have been taken by whoever made a hole-in-one on 7.
The amateurs who attended the tournament generally played at a good level and enjoyed both the course and the good weather. The tournament brought together a varied representation of nationalities, with a preponderance of Spaniards, who greatly enjoyed the sports day.
The awards ceremony, at the Atalaya clubhouse, where a magnificent lunch was served, was presided over by the editor of Andalucía Golf, Antonio Sánchez, and the general manager of Holiday Golf, Stefan Tjellander.
Regarding the sporting results, in the first category, the victory went to José Cordero García, with 40 points. Second place, with 39 points, went to Stephen de Courcy, and third place, with 38 points, to José María Gil Osorio.
In the second category, Fernando Ros García won with 41 points. Second, with one point less, was Francisco Funes Gutiérrez, while third place went to Adolfo Pedevilla Burkia, who totaled 39 points.
The special prize for the closest ball to the flag went to Lynne Cahill, while the prizes for the longest drive were won by Nicola Whelam and José Manuel Montero.
