
South Korea’s Hee Young Park has won with 279 strokes, nine under par, the CME Group Titleholders, in Orlando, Florida, her first win on the U.S. women’s professional circuit, the LPGA Tour. Young Park’s win brought her a prize purse of $500,000 and moved her up from 31st to 12th on the year’s earnings list with $851,781.Young Park, 24, was two strokes ahead of Germany’s Sandra Gal and American Paula Creamer, both placed second on the Grand Cypress Resort course. “I felt the pressure of the final round, but I always felt like I could win,” Young Park said at the end of the final round of the event. “Now I know that dreams can come true. “Spain’s Beatriz Recari was 12th with 289 strokes, while compatriots Belem Mozo and Azahara Muñóz finished 26th and 32nd, respectively. Paraguay’s Julieta Granada had a good fourth round and placed twenty-first among the 59 golfers, who fought for the 1.5 million dollars awarded by the competition.
