High-performance training’, under study at the VII International Seminar on Biomechanics of the PGA

The Association of Golf Professionals of Spain, always concerned about the training of its members, organizes on January 28th and 29th the VII International Seminar on Biomechanics and Golf Technique, which this year will focus on “High Performance Training”. The Seminar will be attended by two renowned figures in the field of training such as the Australian Cameron McCormick, who has developed an international reputation as a highly sought-after coach for players aspiring to high levels of competitive proficiency. One of the players in his portfolio, whom he has coached since the age of 12, is American Jordan Spiet; as well as 2011 US Women’s Open winner So Yeon Ryu.

The other speaker is the renowned golf coach Paul Hurrion, a leading consultant in biomechanics also for other sports such as cricket or athletics. As director

Manager of Quintic Consultancy Limited, has enabled Paul to use his PhD in Sports Biomechanics together with the Quintic software to interpret, analyse and provide information to the end client (a fast bowler in cricket, javelin thrower or golfer). The Quintic software is used within education, research and consultancy, while the Quintic Ball Roll System is used by major club manufacturers in the research, design and promotion of new golf clubs, as well as by players and coaches for putter teaching and fitting. Paul’s clear passion for golf, which has led to a specialization in analysis.

The Seminar will take place at the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences INEF, in the Aula Magna of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, on January 28th and 29th. The inauguration will be on the 28th at 9:00 am and the closing on the 29th at 2:00 pm.
