Patience Rhodes, on the other hand, also retained the first place she held on the first day with 41 strokes, to which she added a round of 42. Behind her, Maria Torres, was in second place with a total score of 95 strokes.

A total of 130 participants took part in the Championships, 47 of whom were children, 53 juniors and 30 juniors. While the Infantil and Alevín categories played two days of 18 holes each on the Old Course, the benjamines played 9 holes each day on the New Course.

At the end of the competition, the awards ceremony was held, which was attended by Ignacio Iturbe Escolano, Provincial Delegate of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation in Malaga and Deputy President; Francisco Puente, President of the Children’s Committee of the RFGA; Andrés Sánchez, Director of Atalaya Golf; and Diego Molina, referee of the tournament.

After the celebration of these Championships, a season of rest opens in the calendar of children’s competitions of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, which will resume in late August, with the Championship of Spain Interclubs in Guadalhorce on 26 and 27 and the Championship of Spain Pitch & Putt U16, to be held in Bil Bil Golf on 29 and 30.

In any case, the competition does not stop since, during this break, the various international events attended by Andalusian players – such as the Reid Trophy, the European Championship or the US Amateur – are joined by other local events of great tradition.
