International Women’s Tour, at the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla

The team is formed by Gabriela Molina de la Escalera, María Inés Pérez, Paloma Rodríguez-Arias y María Isabel Gómez won the first round of Zone A of the International Women’s Zone A of the International Women’s Circuitwhich has been held at the magnificent facilities of the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla.

The winning quartet finished with a cumulative 103 points, one more than Deirdre Maher, María Teresa Beceiro, Flavia Miláns del Bosch and Milagros Ramos.

Third place, 6 points behind the winners, went to the local team made up of Elisa María Miret, Regina Freitag, María Luisa Gómez and Begoña Galarza.

The awards ceremony was presided over by Milagros Luque, acting member of the Women’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Mariano Torres, President of the Golf Committee of the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla; Purificación Alcalá, Ladies Delegate of the Seville club; and Lucas Montaner, Sports Director of the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla.

A total of 17 sets of 4 players have registered in Zone A of a competition consisting of 3 tournaments(Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, Real Club de Golf Guadalmina and Islantilla Golf), plus the Grand Final, scheduled for next June at Mijas Golf.

Meanwhile, in Zone B, in which 12 teams participate, the first event of the season took place at the Arcos Gardens Golf Club & Country Estate in Cadiz and ended with the victory of the team composed of María del Mar Vallejo, María Luisa Correa, Mónica Navarro-Rubio and María José Granados.

The rest of the qualifying rounds in Zone B will be played at Santa Clara Golf Granada and Antequera Golf courses.

The International Women’s Tour of Andalusia is played over 18 holes under the Stableford Handicap modality, scoring the sum of the three best rounds of each team.
