Jiménez and Toscano win the Puntuable Andaluz of Granada

Víctor Jiménez Bravo -second son of Miguel Ángel Jiménez- and the player from La Monacilla, Teresa Toscano, have won today in the second day of the Puntuable Andaluz Masculino y Femenino de Granada, which has been played at Los Moriscos Golf Club this weekend.

After leading the men’s ranking from the first day, the son of Miguel Angel Jimenez has won today against the player of San Pedro Golf Club, Raul Garcia.

Thus, Victor signed yesterday a first round of 69 strokes (-1), to which today has added a card of 70. For his part, Raul Garcia started yesterday with 71 strokes that today has improved with a round of 68, leaving both players equal with 139 strokes at the end of the 18 holes of this second day. The outcome was resolved in an exciting playoff, the first for Víctor Jiménez -federate of the Club de Golf Guadalhorce-, who collected the trophy from the hands of the director of the Club de Golf Los Moriscos, Mª del Mar Vallejo.

Meanwhile, Teresa Toscano has managed to overcome today the player of La Siesta, Sara Navarro, who yesterday followed in the standings with a single stroke difference. Thus, thanks to two rounds of 74 strokes for a total of 148, the player of La Monacilla has turned around the classification, taking the victory and leaving the Malaga Sara Navarro in second place, with rounds of 73 and 76 impacts.

As for the handicap rankings, the player of La Quinta, Zak Karkaletsos, and Rebeca Fernandez have collected the prize with 142 and 140 net strokes, respectively. They were followed in second place by Marco López (Almerimar Golf) and Constanza Guerrero (La Monacilla).

As for the special prizes in Mid Amateur category, they have been for the federated by the Estebbuna Golf Club, Raúl Guerrero -who has been the first classified sratch- and the local player Juan José García, who has occupied the first place in the Mid Amateur handicap classification.

After the competition, the awards ceremony was attended by Mª del Mar Vallejo, director of Los Moriscos Golf Club, and Luis Mansilla, President of the Men’s Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation. Miguel González, president of the Club’s Competition Committee, and Francisco Contreras, referee of the event, were also present.
