La Monacilla triumphs with the XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE Circuit Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia

La Monacilla, the Huelva course designed by the great Chema Olazábal, winner of two Augusta Masters, has hosted with great success the second round of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia’ Circuit, which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition.

With slight episodes of rain that hardly affected the game, the tournament took place in a great sporting atmosphere. It is worth mentioning the good condition of the greens. It is a very flat course, very interesting, very pleasant, suitable for all handicap levels and a pleasant discovery for many of the participants in the Tour who played this magnificent Olazábal design for the first time.

After the game, a cocktail was served in the clubhouse. It is worth mentioning the collaboration given to the tournament by the entire golf club team led by Ricardo Bescansa, with the invaluable help of Pablo Alcántara.

Prizes for the top finishers included magnum wines from Bodegas Marqués de Terán of the Rioja D.O. and dozens of Bridgestone balls.

As far as the competition itself is concerned, the winners were Miguel Díaz del Morán Berdún (scratch), Luis Herrero Fernández (first category) and Fernando de Vega Pérez (second category). In addition to the prizes and gifts to the winners and best classified, there was a raffle of gifts and special prizes to the nearest ball to the flag sponsored by Bodegas Bernardino, (ham shoulder), and by Bodegas Marqués de Terán (bottle of magnum wine).
