THE WORLD’S BEST PLAYERS COMPETE IN SPAIN
LIV Golf Valderrama is the eighth event of the LIV Golf League season and features 13 major champions with a combined 25 major victories, including reigning PGA Championship winner and five-time major champion Brooks Koepka, reigning Open champion Cameron Smith, six-time major winner and World Golf Hall of Fame inductee Phil Mickelson, two-time major winners Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson, and many more. It’s a chance for fans to see 2017 Masters champion and Spanish legend Sergio Garcia compete among a roster of international favorites and rising stars, including fellow Spaniards Eugenio Chacarra and David Puig, who will be making their professional debuts in front of a home crowd.

A HISTORICAL PLACE: THE ROYAL VALDERRAMA CLUB
Known as one of the best courses in continental Europe, Real Club Valderrama has a long golfing history and has hosted some of the most important events in the sport, such as the 1997 Ryder Cup. Having competed in that one for their countries more than 25 years ago, Mickelson and former world No. 1 Lee Westwood are set to return to the same venue of that famous Ryder Cup, which was captained by the great Spanish legend, Severiano Ballesteros.
The course itself is known to be a true test of tournament golf, offering a premium on accuracy off the tee, and emphasis on ball striking ability. Garcia, considered perhaps the best tee-to-green golfer of the last 20 years, has won at Real Club Valderrama on three previous occasions and will be looking to add to his trio of victories when LIV Golf begins in late June.
