Los Arqueros lived a great sporting party on the occasion of the celebration of the Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit Destination Dominican Republic Ocean’s 4 Bahía Príncipe, which played its fourth event of the year in this great Costa del Sol course located in the municipality of Benahavís. The splendid course designed by the incomparable Severiano Ballesteros presented a magnificent aspect and a category maintenance, all enhanced by a mild weather that accompanied the players throughout the day.
A team of HolaGolf, a program of the Teleporte channel of Televisión Española, recorded images of the tournament and conducted interviews with players, the director of the course, Antonio Lantero, the coordinator of the Circuit, Luis Navarro, and the councilman delegate of Sports of Benahavís, Alonso Mena.
This open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andalucía Golf/España Golf celebrates its tenth edition this year, and again, as in the previous two editions, with a grand final prize of five trips to the Caribbean by Grupo Piñero. Apart from the prizes of each tournament (premium branded clothing from the fairway+blue store in Puerto Banús, D.O. Somontano wines, Holiday Golf sports equipment, etc.), the first three classified in each category plus the scratch winner get a place to play the grand final of the Circuit (Atalaya Old, November 21) and thus opt for one of the prizes. five one-week trips to the Dominican Republic, including flights, transfers, five-star all-inclusive hotel and golf in the Dominican Republic. three of the best courses in the Caribbean: Ocean’s 4, Teeth of The Dog and Punta Espada..
In the first category, the three first classified players who obtained a place in the grand final of the Circuit were Inna Bladen (37 points), D’Anthes Georges Heeckeren (34) and Santiago Ríos Rubio (34).
The first three classified (in this case classified, being all women) for the grand final in the second category were, in this order, the following: Carmen Domínguez González (39 points), Amelia do Nascimento Figueiredo (38) and Ana Isabel Irimia Diéguez (36). The best result in the second category was however obtained by María Kharchenko, with 39 points, but she is not entitled to a prize or to be classified for the final because she is a minor, as reflected in the rules of the Circuit. This teenager is a local player with a great sporting progression who performed particularly well in this tournament.
The scratch winner was Philip Fisher, with 34 points.
As for special prizes, the closest ball went to José Antonio Benítez Domínguez and the longest drive to José Antonio Benítez Domínguez and the longest drive prize went to Alejandro Fernández Blanco.
The next appointments in July of the Andalucía Golf Challenge 2020 Destination Dominican Republic Ocean’s 4 Bahía Príncipe Circuit are the 16th in Valderrama, the 25th in Santa Clara Marbella and the 29th of July in San Roque New Course. The places for the first of the tournaments are already sold out, so it is only possible to register for the last two.

The top three in each category plus the scratch winner qualify for the Grand Final, where five one-week all-inclusive trips to the Playa Nueva Romana resort of Bahía Príncipe in the Dominican Republic with golf at Ocean’s 4, Punta Espada and Teeth of The Dog will be decided. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final will travel to the Dominican Republic.
