
Marcus Svensson has been proclaimed champion of the British Boys 2015, which has celebrated its 89th edition at Royal Birkdale, near Liverpool. The Swede, federated by Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, has won 4/3 to the South African Keegan De Lange.
In the quarterfinals, the player from Guadalmina defeated the Italian Guido Migliozzi 5/4 and, in the afternoon, eliminated the English player Marco Penge 1 up in the semifinals.
On the other hand, South African Keegan De Lange reached the final after eliminating Basque Borja Martín in the semifinals by 3/2.
The list of Andalusian players at the beginning of the tournament included, together with Marcus Svensson, the Seville players federated by the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, Nacho Puente, Gonzalo Leal and Pablo Heredia; the player from El Candado, Gonzalo García -Champion of Andalusia Men 2015-; Ángel Hidalgo, also from the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina; and the Danish player from San Roque Club, Víctor Bjorlow.
Of these, Marcus Svensson, Angel Hidalgo and Pablo Heredia were the three who made it through the first phase and into the main draw.
