Tiger will never be as successful as he used to be, and someone should tell him so. This is what former basketball player Michael Jordan thinks, and has publicly expressed, about the famous Californian golfer who marked a whole era in world golf and who, together with Jack Nicklaus, is or has been one of the best golfers of all time.
Tiger Woods’ career may continue, but the qualities that made him a truly unparalleled phenomenon will never come back, the former NBA player believes.
“Here’s the thing: I love him so much that I’m not going to tell him he’s not going to be great anymore.” said Jordan in an interview.
The most curious thing about Jordan’s statements about Tiger is that he believes Woods’ playing slump is not a bad thing for the Californian. “I don’t know if he’s happy or sad about his current situation. I think he’s tired and he really wishes he could retire, but he doesn’t know how to do it yet, and I don’t think he wants to quit right now. If he could win a major and quit, he would, I think.”
