Masterful triumph at the Hoag Classic
Miguel Ángel Jiménez continues to make history in world golf with his fifteenth victory in the prestigious U.S. Champions Tour, after brilliantly winning the Hoag Classic. This success confirms the excellent sporting moment that the golfer from Malaga, a true legend of Spanish golf, is living.
Brilliant performance of the Andalusian golfer
Jimenez finished the tournament with impressive cards of 67, 64 and 67 strokes, accumulating an exceptional total of -15 under par. He prevailed in an intense competition against renowned international golfers such as Stewart Cink, Ernie Els and Fred Couples. The decisive moment came with a spectacular birdie on the 18th hole, which marked his seventh birdie in the final round and brilliantly secured his victory.
Return to success after several months
This new title breaks a drought since August 2022, when he won the Boeing Classic. That same season he also won the Mitsubishi Electric Championship and the Cologuard Classic. Since then he had achieved multiple Top 10s, maintaining a very high competitive level until he won again last February in the Trophy Hassan II.
Jimenez leads Charles Schwab Cup Money
With this victory, Miguel Ángel Jiménez strengthens his leadership in the general classification of the Champions Tour, known as the Charles Schwab Cup Money, reinforcing his prestige as one of the most outstanding golfers in the world senior category.
From Andalucía Golf we celebrate this important sporting achievement, highlighting the Andalusian talent in the most prestigious international tournaments of the world circuit.
