
The Andalucía Mid Amateur Circuit has successfully celebrated its last event of the season, in the new course of San Roque Club, and with the participation of more than fifty players, who played eighteen holes under stroke play scratch mode.
After matching the par of the course, the victory went to Fernando Moreno Onieva from Malaga, federated by the Real Club de Golf Guadalhorce, who thus added his second victory in the circuit, after the one achieved last June at Sherry Golf Jerez.
With four strokes more than him, Miguel Navarro (Real Club de Golf Guadalhorce), Jorge Juan Fernández (Real Club de Golf Vista Hermosa) and Felipe Fernández (Real Club Pineda de Sevilla) finished equal in second place. Miguel Navarro was also proclaimed handicap winner with 69 net strokes.
As for the women’s classification, María Murillo (Real Club de Golf El Candado) took the victory after submitting a card of 83 strokes. She was followed by the sisters Aurora and Mª José Hidalgo who, with 85 and 86 strokes, respectively, took second and third place. Meanwhile, Mª Dolores Crespo led the female handicap classification with 71 net strokes.
This was the fourth event of the year , after the Circuit has previously visited the Real Club Sevilla Golf, the Parador de Málaga and Sherry Golf Jerez, with great success of participation in each of the tournaments.
Each of these four competitions held throughout the year, are scoring for the Ranking Andalusian Mid Amateur. Thus, the top twenty scratch classified and the top ten handicap classified in the men’s category will have direct and free access to the Andalusian Mid Amateur Championship, to be held at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande on December 16, for which the top eight scratch classified and the top four handicap classified in the women’s category will also be classified.
