Nearly €40,000 raised with a charity tournament at Aloha Golf

This weekend took place the twelfth edition of the charity golf tournament and dinner “Butterfly Children” that the Butterfly Skin Association organizes at the Aloha Golf Club in which nearly 40,000 € have been raised for the social mission of this NGO with national headquarters in Marbella.

The event began on Saturday, June 7 with the golf tournament in which more than 200 players participated and were welcomed with strawberries and champagne. Halfway through the round they had the opportunity to play against the golf professional Steven Palmer from Villapadierna Golf Academy and after a snack to participate in a raffle. At the end they received a souvenir photo of their team.

The awards ceremony took place on Saturday afternoon at the Club House where 5 first prizes were awarded to ladies and gentlemen and prizes for all holes. Among the prizes were hotel stays, green fees and golf equipment, all donated by companies for the occasion.

On Sunday evening 233 guests enjoyed an evening under the stars with the TAPAS Choir, “2True & The Mass Fusion Band” and “Ricky Lavazza” during the benefit dinner.

The funds raised come from sponsorships and donations from companies and individuals as well as proceeds from green fees, the charity dinner, raffles and auctions held during both days.

The amount raised will be used to fund projects and services of vital importance for people affected by Butterfly Skin and their families in Spain, such as the Hogar Respiro or hospital visits to newborns.
